Paper alert!! My paper ‘Spanish Emigrant Remittances and their Impact on Public Finances, 1870-1936’ has been officially published in the Revista de Historia Industrial-Industrial History Review. It represents one chapter of my PhD dissertation. I am so thankful for the editors, reviewers, and everyone who has made the publication possible. Check it out here!

My paper ‘How does land privatisation affect migration? Evidence from Galicia during the Age of Mass Migration’ has been accepted for presentation at the EHS 2026 Annual Conference. It will take place at LSE from 10–12 April 2026, and I’ll also be in the running for one of the New Researcher Prizes; not bad at all.

In January 2026, I’ll be sharing the paper ‘How does land privatisation affect migration? Evidence from Galicia during the Age of Mass Migration’ at the XIX Congreso de la Sociedad de Estudios de Historia Agraria (SEHA). I am scheduled in the first half of Session 17, on Wednesday 15 January from 15:30. Another chance to test these ideas in front of colleagues who know rural history inside out.

The paper ‘State-Sponsored Emigration under Francoist Rule: An Exploration’ (with Covadonga Meseguer and Laura Maravall) has been accepted for review at Migration Studies, and we are currently working on the revise-and-resubmit. Lots of comments, lots of track-changes…

The work ‘Memes-Based Learning: Un Experimento Piloto en Microeconomía’ (with Carmen Garrido) has completed the review process and is now in production. It will appear in December 2025 in the volume Formación Superior Transformadora: Seis Pilares para Potenciar la Empleabilidad y Competencias Profesionales. A small experiment with memes that started in the classroom will now end up in print.

My paper ‘Spanish Emigrant Remittances and their Impact on Public Finances, 1870–1936’ has now successfully passed the review process at the Industrial History Review and is in production. After all the R&R, seeing it move to the final stage is particularly rewarding.
